ACUPUNCTURE & CUPPING
Acupuncture and cupping can treat a wide variety of conditions from pain to mental health issues (see the really really really long list below).
During an initial session, we will discuss your chief concerns and do a thorough intake of your and your family history, reviewing your medical history but also discussing your daily life, routines, nutrition. We want to look at the whole picture of who you are to help find the root cause of things so we can develop a treatment plan just for you. Because of this, expect an initial session to run about 85 minutes.
Follow up appointments will be 45-60 minutes. We will do a shorter intake where we discuss how you felt after the previous treatment, and any differences/changes you are noticing before moving on to the treatment.

Benefits for Conception
Whether helping to prepare your body for natural conception or IUI / IVF or other ART therapies, studies have shown acupuncture can help to stimulate ovarian function which may help improve egg quality and follicle size, encourage implantation by increasing blood flow to the uterus, mitigate the side effects of drugs used in ART therapies, reduce stress & anxiety and promote overall health for stronger support for a growing fetus.
On-site Embryo Transfers
In addition, you can schedule onsite acupuncture for the day of embryo transfer with IVF using the Paulus Protocol, which has proven to increase pregnancy rates from 26% to 42% when acupuncture was done before and after the transfer.
PRE-NATAL & POST-NATAL CARE
Congratulations! Pregnancy brings with it all the joy, excitement and hope for the new life you are growing - but it can also bring morning sickness, back pain, insomnia, heartburn, leg cramps, anxiety and a host of ailments that acupuncture can help with. Acupuncture has historically been used to help "calm the fetus" and prevent miscarriage. It is safe, gentle and effective during pregnancy.
Starting at 36 weeks, treatments once a week are a great way to help your body prepare for delivery and encourage cervical ripening and dilation.
Let the games truly begin! The postpartum period is often unpredictable as you are learning how to care for your new baby while needing great care yourself. Hormones are fluctuating, sleep can be elusive, relationships are being redefined at home, things can easily feel overwhelming. Acupuncture and herbs can help ease this transition. It is also very effective in helping with postpartum depression or anxiety, working to reduce stress and restore balance to your mind and body.
